More often than not I’m stuck on the middle floor because going up and down the staircase causes me to flare up with my chronic illness and pain condition, it’s definitely not ideal so I’ve been looking into choosing from stairlifts in the uk for our home. Depending on your preference you can even have your stairlift and the rail matching to your existing decor/style, meaning it won’t stand out unless you want it to.

It’s important to look into every aspect of having a stairlift, so for example that it will need servicing every 6-12 months. You always want to ensure that it’s running properly and there are no problems as getting stuck mid-step wouldn’t be fun at all! Of course, stairlifts come with a good warranty already, and they usually last about 10 years, possibly more if they are looked after properly! Stairlift companies know the importance of your independence, so usually, any repairs would be taken care of really quickly as they wouldn’t want to leave you without for long.

Even though we have two staircases I definitely think looking into a stairlift for the future would be a great idea for us! They can be really compact, sleek and modern looking
