I am naturally somebody who loves being beside the ocean, so I try to plan all of my holidays to include at least a little bit of sea air. One of my favourite places to go is Cornwall, as its South coast location makes it fantastic in terms of both weather and coastline. Here are my top tips for planning a holiday to Cornwall.

The Company
There are all kinds of ways that you can make your holiday to Cornwall special, but some of this might depend on what kind of group you are going with, so it is important to decide early on who you intend to travel with. For example, a weekend away with your mates is going to look very different to a week-long family holiday with a couple of toddlers in tow. Another option could be to meet up with wider family who live in different areas of the country and share a holiday together, which might take some bigger accommodation. The first step in planning your Cornwall holiday is to know who you want to go with, so that you can get the right vibe for your trip straight away.
The Accommodation
Once you have selected the company that you are going to be travelling with, you will know what kind of accommodation you are looking for. There is nothing quite as fantastic as a holiday at a campsite in Cornwall, as this is a great way to get to grips with nature and enjoy the fresh sea air at its finest. If you are somebody who prefers four walls when you stay somewhere, there is a huge selection of self catering accommodation available in Cornwall.
The Activities
There are a great deal of things to do in Cornwall, and a lot of it is based purely on those wonderful beaches that they have scattered all around. Bear in mind that Cornwall is not the most accessible of places and, while efforts have been made for activities like the aquarium, there is a lot of walking involved when it comes to going to the beach as many are at the bottom of long hills. If going to the beach is how you want to spend your holiday, you will be greeted with all kinds of water sports options, and may end up being a pro-surfer by the end of your stay!
The Food
Good food can make or break a holiday, which is why going to Cornwall is a great way to ensure that your holiday is a success. Not only are there a large number of gorgeous restaurants you can attend, but because of its proximity to the coast the fish and chips selection is second-to-none. And it’s not just the fish to be excited about; they have some of the longest seafront battered sausages I have ever seen!
